Julian Barson
Managing Director
After graduating, Julian worked as a Research Engineer with Repco, rising through the ranks as Chief Engineer then as General Manager to one of Repco’s divisions. Prior to joining Australian Personnel Solutions, Julian was Chairman and Managing Director of an Australian public company.
Julian joined APS in 1994, responsible for the implementation and accreditation of our Quality Management System under ISO 9002 and for the implementation of the Management Information System, which links all APS offices. Julian introduced Executive Recruitment into APS.
Jill Clementson
Director
Jill first entered the Recruitment Industry as a consultant, in April 1987 with Riddells Staff in
Preston. After two and a half years she was elevated to Manager of the Footscray office of the organisation. In the grip of "the recession we had to have", Jill took the branch from a solely commercial operation to a branch which covered both the commercial and industrial sectors of the industrial west. This was the first office within the Riddell/Centacom group to deal in the Industrial arena. Very quickly this office shot to be the top performer in a group of 68 branches Australia wide and stayed there until the company was taken over by the then Adia.
After six years with the one company she chose to start her own company. Within the first year of business she grossed over $1.5 million in billing, and had established a second office. She has been involved in APS since its creation and has been an active member of the Executive Management of the business.
Steve Evans
Commercial Manager
Steve has recently joined APS in April, 2006. Steve’s career has been commercially focused and recent roles include Financial Controller for GE Commercial Fleet Services, Finance Manager for Hertz Australia and Vic State Accountant with Australian Air Express.
Steve is passionate and committed and is focused on providing a reliable and robust control environment to ensure clients are provided with accurate and timely billing as well as other support.
Steve is customer focused and is also a member of CPA Australia (CPA).
Rodger Beiser
National Sales & Operations Manager
Rodger joined APS in 1998 and has now accumulated twelve years experience in the recruitment industry specialising in transport, warehousing and distribution. He is familiar with all aspects of the end to end recruitment process, including operations, business development and the provision of strategic sourcing solutions. Rodger led the implementation team for VersaCold nationally and has built a reputation for providing innovative cost-effective solutions to client staffing challenges.
Recent achievements include provision of staffing solutions to Patrick Air Services and Patrick Logistics.
Rodger is actively involved in industry associations including the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics, Logistics Association of Australia and the RCSA.
Maria De Luca
National Quality and OHS Manager
Maria possesses a Bachelor of Science Education from Melbourne University, with a major in Chemistry and a Dip Ed in Teaching (Secondary). Maria’s career has spanned many diverse industries, initially commencing as a secondary teacher in the fields of mathematics and science, then moving to research and development within the chemical industry. Maria’s past nine years has been spent involved in Quality Assurance for the manufacturing and service industries.
As the National Quality and OHS Manager for five years with APS, Maria’s portfolio includes Quality, OHS and Training. Maria manages and oversees all aspects of a Management System which integrates Quality and OH&S into one business management system.
Jennifer Polidano
National Sales Manager
Jennifer commenced with APS in October 2004 as a Business Development Manager for the Mulgrave branch and was promoted to the National Business Development Manager role in September 2005. Jennifer was rewarded for all her hard work in December 2006 when she was promoted to National Sales Manager.
Prior to joining the recruitment industry, Jennifer accumulated six years experience in the air & express transport industry with Australian air Express and TNT Express where she successfully developed new business & managed a major accounts portfolio. Jennifer feels that this experience has been an integral link in understanding the importance of a client’s requirements and the ramifications that occur if unsuitable casual labour is provided.
Lisa Richardson
National Transport Manager
Lisa has been with Australian Personnel Solutions for in excess of five years and has worked in various divisions of the company.
On commencement, Lisa worked in our Night Branch and after two years moved into the Transport division as an operations coordinator. She has managed various transport clients and built good relationships through her commitment to supplying the best candidates and exceptional customer service. In 2004, Lisa was promoted to Branch Manager – Transport.
Lisa is responsible for the day to day management of the Transport team, recruitment of candidates, customer relationship management and managing our largest transport client, VersaCold.
