In 1995 APS sought affiliation to the title, “Quality Endorsed” company. After satisfying stringent requirements of an International Standard, we achieved our goal and gained the AS/NZS ISO9000:2000 accreditation.
Today, APS continue to strive to deliver the best possible service to our customers and as such we have continued to maintain certification to the Quality System AS/NZS ISO9000:2000.
Most importantly, it means that our business systems, practices and process ensure that our clients can be assured that we can provide service in a manner that is reliably consistent, effective, deliverable and exceeds common quality systems.
It also gives us an opportunity to identify areas for improvement in the way we deliver our service and gives us a competitive edge over other recruitment companies.

In 1998, APS became the first labour hire agency in Australia to be officially endorsed to SafetyMAP, an Occupational Health and Safety Management Program designed by the Victorian Workcover Authority. SafetyMAP aimed to improve standards of health and safety in the workplace and ensure that we meet all OHS legislative requirements.
With the growth of APS nationally and the desire to continue to be at the forefront of OHS in the labour hire industry, a decision was made to transition our OHS system certification from SafetyMAP to an Australian nationally recognised OHS system known as AS4801-2000.
Currently APS are working towards achieving the requirements of this standard, with a goal to obtain certification in 2006.
Our commitment to OHS has remained a key focus to ensure the health, safety and welfare of contractors and staff in the workplace.
As an employer, APS has a responsibility to protect the health, safety and welfare of all our employees, both internally and on site.
We accomplish this by:
 |
Providing new workers with a comprehensive induction process. |
 |
Continuously providing our workers with knowledge in the form of Tool Box talks, re-inductions, follow ups and newsletters |
 |
Gaining clients' cooperation in our "Partnership in Safety Program" where they too assist in providing our workers with a safe working environment and support our OHS processes |
 |
Having a dedicated OHS team and external consultants to focus on improving APS’ OHS processes |
APS has an Occupational Health & Safety Committee with trained OHS representatives with meetings held monthly.
The committees’ vision is to promote OHS awareness in partnership with our clients and colleagues in the belief that all injuries can be prevented.
